Small Business Technology Council TO Host Annual Washington Meeting on June 20

The Small Business Technology Council will be hosting its annual Washington meeting this summer on Tuesday, June 20, in the Senate Small Business Committee Hearing Room, in Washington DC.  The meeting will be free to attend for members, we ask that those planning on attending please send an RSVP to alec@sbtc.org letting us know so we can have an accurate headcount.

As in previous years, we will be inviting Hill staffers, officials from the SBA, and agency SBIR/STTR PMs to come and speak to those in attendance about the current climate, pending legislation, and other current events in Washington affecting high-tech small businesses and the SBIR/STTR programs.  We will also host a brief awards presentation for the winners of the 2017 Champion of Small Business Technology Commercialization Awards.  We will release a full agenda and list of speakers at a future date.

The SBTC will be hosting our meeting in conjunction with NSBA’s annual Washington Presentation, which will be held at the Loews Madison Hotel in downtown Washington.  Members who register by May 22 will receive an early bird discount.  If you are an SBTC member who wants to attend the SBTC meeting without registering for the NSBA Washington Presentation, you can still receive the discounted hotel room rate of $229 by contacting Rosa Parks by May 22 at (202) 552-2907, or at rwright@nsba.biz.

Once again, registration is not necessary if you only plan on attending the SBTC meeting, but we do ask you RSVP to alec@sbtc.org just so we have a good headcount.
